A walk at Nokodai

We went for a walk at the university campus near our place since it was a cool and fine day today. Ahh... it was indeed refreshing and lifting to see so much green around.

The gingko trees' leaves are nice and green too!
Did you know there are female and male leaves? can you guess which is which?

Lunch was refreshing cool somen
Somen with hijiki & sour plum bits drizzled with tsuyu (noodle sauce)

J says staying home is making the weighing scale number increase, so i am trying hard to keep calories down while being sure i have enough balance. So basically, soups, blanched vegetables and grilled items are in.
Dinner tonight

Grilled stuffed beancurd pouches
filled with daikon leaves & white bait salad
green veg tossed with grilled maitake mushrooms and bonito flakes
fresh tomatoes from the farmers mart
And our favourite...
Peanut soup with lotus root

I can't get enough of these soups ever since mum came over.
Seasoned with only salt, but yet full of flavour! very satisfying. =)
