Feeling summer crawling in

The day was nice and sunny and windy. =)
i am starting to yearn to go for a run.

Many summer vegetables are out in the marts.
Earlier than the usual, but i guess with controlled farming practices it isn't surprising.
I managed to get fresh corn again, so away with canned corns for the moment~

Lunch was
Zucchini and corn with chicken pasta
tossed in last night's hijiki salad too

Dinner was more vegetables of the season

Tofu with peas and prawns in sticky sauce
and the pea pods tossed into a separate salad dish
broccolli in clams and ginger sauce
we bought a daikon today, so i made another large stock of furikake again.
The leaves have to be cooked the day the daikons are harvested because they turn yellow the very next day, which is why the leaves are thrown away often.
roasted mini potatoes in aonori & garlic
with a spicy fishcake that we shared
reminds me of otak

i don't usually fancy otak and any spicy dish for that matter but ever since we came here, having a spicy treat once in awhile is nice!
which reminds me, why is the laksa fish floss that both of us like not made anymore?
