baby mon chou chou roll cake

It was nice and sunny today! a lil on the hot side, but mood lifting after 2 days of clouds and rain.
well, but though cloudy yesterday, i was in a light mood after all the chat at the mamas gathering. relieves stress =)

and when i got home,
we had cake!
Tada~ the roll cakes from my favourite baby mon chou chou stall at downtown tokyo station.
they make such pretty decorations on each slice of roll cake so you can enjoy just one slice with all the hooha on top.
the first slice was, strawberries and fresh cream and custard with hidden kiwi fruits in there.
the second was an interesting combination of blueberries, banana and chocolate cream with chocolate sponge.
bothe were equally good!

Lunch today after the hot walk to the marts was
natto and okra soba with plenty of grated daikon and a topping of ume
thirst quenching. stamina boosting.

Dinner was a singaporean style one plate
Besides the salad which wasn't very singaporean
Mum's tempra pork with lime
froze this when she was here and i have been looking forward to having this with white rice.
Ginger shoyu vegetable stir fry with clams
black bean soup
with tasty beans J got from a bean shop at Ueno

This batch of beans were really tasty and soft, and though broiled over a few hours, the skins were left intact, and the shape of the beans still perfect. Beautiful.
