it is getting cooler each night and very unlike summer, warm soups and stews r much more welcomed for dinners these days.

Sweet hokkaido WHITE corn

This is really the sweetest corn i have ever tasted on its own! We went to a hokkaido fair at ikebukuro TOBU and brought this home. wow, just sprinkled a bit of salt and barbequed it and i almost fainted when i had the first taste. the sweetness was awesome...

Autumny breeze

Its getting more n more autumn like each day and i must say, i m really enjoying the autumn breeze everyday. A bit dry, but the air is nice and crisp...
Needless to say, autumn food is very Aki too! chetnuts, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, salmon, eggplant... my mum would probably picture me in her head rightaway if i mention these foods...

Autumn~

So yesterday was a public holiday...
To officially mark the start of autumn.
So monday night was dinner at an Okinawan izakaya with Juns colleagues. It has been quite some time since i last had Okinawan food, i dont usually crave for Okinawan food because of the amount of pork they use in their dishes, but this was a refreshing change. For the first time, i had awamori on the rocks. Usually it is mixed with juice. I didnt get drunk, but the alcohol was so strong, it started to make my tum tum churn at night. =(
But anyway, this was accumulated pics over the hol...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!

Happy Birthday DAD!
This weekend, we had lots of sesame dishes... which is very much dads style of cooking...
Just like how dad does it all the time, i toasted the sesame seeds using the frying pan, only to find out over lunch with Jun that Japan has special pans called gomairiki to toast sesame seeds!
So anyway, on Saturday...

Soba lunch
Mohloheya and natto with sesame cream dressing on soba
Simmered eggplant in miso

Dinner

Sweet potato black sesame creamy salad

さつまいもとブロッコリ茎の黒胡麻サラダ

Stir fried komatsuna with hijiki and crunchy white bait

小松菜のひじきとかりかりちりめんじゃこ炒め

Lunch

Udon salad with creamy plum and sesame dressing

さつまいもとツナのひじきアンドうどんサラダ

クリーミー梅の胡麻ドレシング

材料
練り胡麻(白) 0.75カップ (すり鉢でよくすり)
醤油 小さじ2
ポン酢 小さじ1
梅干(種をとって包丁でたたく) 2個
だし 約0.5カップ
マヨネーズ 大さじ2
生クリーム 大さじ1

全部の材料を混ぜて出来上がり~!

Japanese fusion

Presenting... the original BISKETTI from JunAki Cafe~

ビスケッティ

何でそんな変な名でしょう。。。

chocolate finger bits and white chocolate biscotti...

ちゃんと見たら、ガルボが入ってるビスコッティです。

材料は節約、作り方は簡単!

材料

生地材料
薄力粉 45g
ココアパウダー 45g
べーキングパウダー 小さじ0.5
砂糖 30g
卵 1個
オリーブオイル 大さじ1
牛乳 小さじ2

フィリング材料
ホワイトチョコレート (明治板チョコレート) 1枚
ガルボ 50g

打ち粉 強力粉 適宜

準備
1.ホワイトチョコレートとガルボを粗く刻んでおく。
2.オーブンは180C度に温めておく。

生地つくり
1.薄力粉、ココアパウダー、べーキングパウダーをボウルにふるいいれる。
2.砂糖、卵、オリーブオイル、牛乳を加え手でムラのないように混ぜ合わせる。
3.ホワイトチョコレートとガルボを軽く混ぜてから、ひとまとめにする。
4.表面に打ち粉をふる
5.180C度に予熱したオーブンで20分焼く。
6.焼きあがったらオーブンから出し、粗熱を取る。
7.触れる程度の温度になったら、パン切り用などのナイフで1~1.5厚さに切り分ける。
8.切り口を上にしてオーブンシートを敷いた天板に並べ、150C度で20分焼く。


ウェイナ青海苔天ぷら、焼そば、ミニトマトおかかオムレツ、もやしのベーコン炒め。
