wafu mushroom sauce

It was really really really really really cold today.
i think it went below 10? plus it was raining.
i didnt do much supermarket shopping with the wet and cold weather, and decided to try yoga at home with the DVD. Mama yoga is really slooooooooooooooooow. ok maybe i should learn to relax and go slow. but i am just itching to work out. on such days, i wished i had a threadmill at home. but if we had a threadmill, i would have to put my dining table on the mill?
hehe i dont think the usual japanese home can house such machines.

Dinner was steamed.

tofu with white grated mountain yam, topped with japanese charsiew and steamed
drizzled with shoyu, nori & toasted sesame seeds
pan browned curry hanpen
steamed broccolli, orange cauliflower and boiled eggs salad topped with wafu mushroom sauce

i am impressed with this mushroom sauce i learned from a tv program!
all japanese mushrooms, but tastes so much like the cream of mushroom campbell soup!

enoki mushrooms 100g
shiitake mushrooms 200g
shimeji mushrooms 200g
eringi mushrooms 200g
1 large onion
3 cloves garlic
2ooml consomme soup

fry sliced onions & garlic in 1 tbs olive oil till brown. high heat.
add in the sliced mushrooms and salt till mushrooms soften.
add 1 tbs white wine and consomme soup.
blend in food processor.
stocks in fridge for a week or a month in the freezer.

for salad dressing, mix 150g sauce with 2tbs mayonnaise.
for pasta sauce, add 100ml cream and toss pasta in.
i should try making cream of mushroom soup with this!
being a mushroom lover, this made my day!
