wafu cream of mushroom soup

It was finally sunny today!
helped make my weekend end on a slightly happier note.
went to the laundry to pick up my summer yukata which i sent for cleaning 2 weeks ago. sad story. 2nd time there, but yukata is still not ready. seems there is a stain they are trying to remove which came from another laundered piece. it is my very first yukata, in my fav colour, and bought by okaasan. quite a pricey piece too. i m hoping the stain comes off and all will be fine when they call me.

Breakfast today, was wafu cream of mushroom!
with the musrhoom sauce stock, just added milk, bring to boil, and pour into bowls! fastes cream of mushroom i have ever made!
Plus, all natural~

Then J set off for work early for a morning meeting.
i decided to make banana cake!
with pecan nuts and a nutty full of raisin base
added almond powder to the cake batter and the result was yummy~ moist and fragrant banana cake with less than the usual butter. easy on the stomach =)

150 flour
50g almond powder
pinch of salt
60g butter
70g sugar
2 egg yolks
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
1tsp baking powder
2 bananas mashed
75ml milk
toasted pecan nuts and raisins

1. preheat oven to 200degC
2. cream butter and 50g sugar. slowly mix in the 2 yolks.
3. with 20g sugar and the other egg, whip up a frothy watery version of meringue.
4. mix step into sifted flour & salt.
5. add the bananas & milk, then fold in 3.
6. grease cake tin, line with pecan nuts and raisins, pour in batter, top with nuts.
7. bake for 50min.
8. spread some milk over the surface of the cake 5 min before the oven calls. gives a nice shiny finish.

Sukiyaki was for dinner.
was looking forward to this. i dont know why but i just felt like having sukiyaki!

with the standard beef, tofu, heaps of veg & mushrooms
and udon + egg added last =)

crossing my fingers that my yukata comes out fine @@
