Finally made use of my doughnut baking molds!

Oven baked doughnuts

Got this cute mold from Pantry magic at Holland V. In fact, theyve got a whole series of silicon baking goods, and each time i enter the shop, i wish i could bring the whole place back home.
Anyhow, this silicon mold is really really convenient. Not as heavy as the traditional non stick metal type, and easier to store in the cabinet too.

Baked doughnuts
100g baking flour
2tsp baking powder
20g sugar
1 egg
3 tbs milk
21g melted butter (i used the salted type)
1/4 tsp cinammon powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
Just mix everything together, pour into mold and bake 180deg C for 13min.
Point is not to overbake them since very little butter is used and overbaking would mean a very dry doughnut. This was nicely moist inside.
Coat with icing sugar, chocolate, etc.
I am still working on the coating =)

Dinner was a one plate one soup affair

Herb chicken (garlic rosemary & grated onions), ratatouille and mixed wild grains rice
and... tomato ketchup miso soup
which, i am working on. haha this was something we saw on tv yesterday.
Instead of using the usual fish or konbu seaweed broth to cook miso soup, using ketchup water gives a mild fish taste.
Point is, it has to be diluted 50times. i think i added a teen bit too much.

The weekend is here~!!! ^^
