J is finally back~~~~
So for dinner last night, what better way to ganbai, than oden?

and each time we have oden, we normally keep some for the next day...
today, added baby carrots & soyabeans...
wafu style pot au feu
salad drizzled with homemade wafu carrot dressing
I simply love grated vegetable based salad dressings that are commonly found in japan, so when i found this salad dressing recipe by Harumi Kurihara, decided to try, and i must say, this is for keeps!
wafu carrot dressing
grated carrot 30g
grated onion 2 tbs
shoyu 4tbs
vinegar 3tbs
olive oil 1&1/2 tbs
sugar 1tbw
cracked black pepper
We finally managed to drop by Kurihara sans cafe, Yutori no kukan cafe, at Yurakucho near Ginza. The first time we went to her cafe was the one at Yokohama bay when we were dating 2 years ago. Was very inspired by her modern yet very traditional touch that i decided to look up her books in Singapore, and found out she has recipe books translated in English! Simple, yet very very tasty dishes.
