I could have red beans everyday without getting sick of it.
my red bean dose today came in a pepsi bottle!
red bean pepsi!!!
was so excited, took a sip, then read the ingredient label, huh?! was my reaction.
no sign of red bean in there. just flavoured pepsi.
the taste? hmm... tasted like cherry ade, but not as sweet. i dont think i will buy it again.
if i feel like having cherry ade, i will reach for the real cherry ade.
Oh, and we bought doughnuts today!!!
the 100yen doughnut sale ends today at mister donuts.
for the first time, we tried their chou cream (cream puff)
strawberry chou
that was oh so fluffy and light~~~
the big diff between american n japanese donuts i guess is the sweetness level and density of the pastry. being quite so very so asian, i prefer misdo to the much raved about krispy kreme. well krispy kreme is yummy too, but i need to split the donuts for a few sessions of tea & coffee. this was light enough for us to each have a piece and still feel ok.
When J saw dinner, he asked, wow whats the occassion?
the first time i grilled ribs
with tomato soup and tofu salad and the requested white rice
well, nothing really special, i just felt like having ribs. i did it the quick way by buying BBQ sauce and marinating it overnight. BBQ or yakiniku sauce here is so convenient. there are a hundred and one flavours to choose from depending on the type of meat to be grilled, and your preferred base. sweet shoyu, light shoyu, ketchip base, garlic base, spicy garlic base, korean style base, and the list goes on. i chose shoyu garlic. mm mmm yummy~!
went well with rice =)
apples after dinner as usual
but for the first time this year, the apple had apple nectar!
see that darker part around the core? we had that last year too when okaasan treated us to some expensive apples she ordered over the net. i got this at 300yen for 6 pieces at the mart! so of course this was a pleasant surprise!
