It was raining today
and when i felt like having a cup of milk tea with my favourite teaspoon, i realised the spoon was lost,
quickly i dug out last nights garbage and rumbled through every bit of yucky, but it just wasnt around.
think it fell into the bin in my sink a few days ago, and that would have been at the garbage site by now.
was so sad that i just had to bake brownies.
comforting fudgy walnut brownies...

++++++++until J came back with something more comforting +++++++
=)
Dinner tonight was japanese western jun&aki style

A plate full of foil baked stuff

Baked cod with daikon in mixed spices & garlic butter consomme broth

Baked vegetables of the season in shoyu sesame oil, Asparagus, sakura prawns and juicy young onions

Young potatoes boiled and crushed wtih miso, salt and black pepper, then foil baked with fresh butter bits

kenchiku ni
Kenchiku ni is a very traditional simmered root vegetable dish made up of lotus root, burdock, carrots, bamboo shoots and konnyaku simmered in a sweet shoyu based broth together with dried shiitake and chicken bits. To liven up the colour of this dish, sweet peas are usually added lastly.
Since i still have bamboo shoots in my fridge, and the local farmers picked nice and fresh sweet peas, i decided i just have to try making this dish at least once.
yup, my first time making this!

oh please dear spoon, where are you???
