The day was warm, the sun was out, and i just had to check out the sakuras in the park behind our apartment before they start falling off.
They look pretty when they fall too though, showers of sakuras...
anyway, they are still hanging strong on the trees when i stopped to take a good look.
This park has fewer types of sakuras compared to the big Koganei park.
First off, at the entrance of the park, were these very bright pink ones.
which remind me of the floral prints on yukatas (summer kimonos)
then as i wondered deeper into the park, the whole vision of white dancing in the skies
just makes you melt...
there were very few people at this place, being a very local park.
so people could really stretch out their legs and relax on the grass with their lunch boxes along the river.
which was prettily lined with light pink & white
on the way home, as i passed by the driving centre next to the park, i reckon this is the most beautiful driving centre anyone can have!
which driving centre is filled with sakura trees?
Dinner tonight was comfort meat & potatoes
Japanese standard beef & potatoes dish, Nikujaga
grilled maitake mushrooms with flower greens salad
grilled mentaiko fish roe
I haven't had mentaiko on its own simply grilled for a long time.
And since we were having lovely white rice today to go with our nikujaga, i wanted to have this too cos it really is yummy on white rice.
Yes i am really going full blast with satisfying my salty food cravings =P
