non stop snow

My plants, which i left alone at home during our trip, seem to be doing ok!

pink flower buds can now be seen on the blueberry plant twigs!

am keeping my fingers crossed to see some blueberries this summer.

the snow today, was indeed amazing.

it snowed all day long.

starting with rain pitter patter, then heavy snow.

and the fluffs started getting huge
so before i knew, the whole place was covered in a blanket of white.

it is, of course very cold.

Dinner was

pork wrapped enoki with garlic miso sauce

greens with hijiki salad

black bean soup

as i was searching the fridge for things i might have to finish soon, i found some black beans!

which i cooked with rice quite often last year.

i decided to do a black bean & carrot soup this time! with some pork slices & dried cuttlefish.
