craving lettuce!

After 3 weeks of not so nice tasting lettuce at breakfast in the hotel, J and i so wanted to have some yummy fresh japanese lettuce. AND tomatoes =)
We have a habit of having some greens to start the day, so naturally we reached for the fresh greens at the buffet counter, only to have to need to pour a lot of dressing on them so the smell can be masked.
well, i never liked my greens that much either until i started living here.
if it is green, its got to be cooked when i was in Singapore. but it seems, over here, the japanese take so much pride in everything they grow that they believe ANYTHING can be eaten raw, and when fresh, is tasty. ok before i start going on about how horse meat can be eaten raw...

dinner tonight was loco moco

tuna burger & yuba skins, in loco moco style on multi gran rice,
topped with mushroom sauce

and yeah, the lettuce & tomatoes were really really really tasty!!!
homemade broccoli soup topped with my favourite fish crackers from cold storage
=)
we had a break from the sky today!
no rain, a teeeeeeeeeeeny bit of sunshine, and pretty ume flowers smiling in the sun!
i just had drop by town today to get a breather.
being stuck at home with a pile of laundry is stressful.
shinjuku, as usual, was really crowded. i used to like the pace of the people there.
but it seems, with my hurting back and penguin like walking style, i cant keep up with the speed as well anymore. ok, i should stay out of crowded places for awhile.
