Easter & the sakuras

Easter falls in April, and i always find lots of chocolate eggs at the supermarmarket chocolate lane in Europe & America to remind me of the season. This year since we are not visiting any European country, i just dont feel that Easter is nearing.
But sakura sweets are all around and these are supposed to symbolise the new start (of whatever you do) being the start of spring. SO i shall make it a point to remember my easters each year when the sakura sweet season starts.
In my kitchen though, i have 2 buddies to keep me company in celebrating the season.

Dinner tonight

toasted stuffed fried beancurd skins
with simmered dried daikon strips & mochi
Asparagus and smooth beancurd skins salad with bonito flakes & sour plum bits
brown rice with wolfberries
vegetable and egg soup

i realised these days that occassionally i crave egg soup. weird eh?
